Hi,

My Rego expired on the 24th December and i renewed it on the 12th January until the 24th March 2016. It took a while for it to get sent to my place and once it got there i missed to put it into the car.

My friend received a warning when she drove my car but she didn't tell me.

Got a $200 fine now on the 24th Jan. Wondering if i d have a chance querying it or if i got no chance due to the 1 month courtesy period ending exactly that day?

Hi there,
I have not heard of anyone having much luck disputing fines in court.
I think your best chance may be writing in, but at the end of the day, you must display a current registration label and that is what the fine is for. Usually they say 28 days not a month, 24th Dec to 24th Jan is 31 days.
