Hi there I'm Shania and i was wondering are L plates meant to be invisible inside the back window of my car because we are concerned that if i get pulled over by the police because my L plates are not visible to road users and i want other road users that they know I'm a learner driver with visible L plates what should i do?

Hi Shania,
This is the rue found in the road code:
•You must display L (learner) plates on the vehicle at all times when you are driving. Failure to display L plates could result in 25 demerit points and a fine of $100.

If the glass is tinted and dark, you may need to fasten the L plates on the outside of the car while you are driving, and take them off after.

If the glass is tinted and dark, you may need to fasten the L plates on the outside of the car while you are driving, and take them off after.
Or get sticker type labels the just stick on to the outside of the cars' glass.
