Hyundai’s smallest SUV offering has launched in NZ and is not shy in boasting about its accolades in the areas of refinement, technology, safety and practicality. It’s great to see an impressive level of safety features included as standard, especially in a market segment that is experiencing significant demand and rapid expansion.
Peugeot have produced the all new 206 which in all respects meets and in some areas surpasses the much heralded 205. Displaying the latest curvaceous and fashionable styling features from the Peugeot designers, the 206 presents an elegant but cheeky statement with a feline appearance from the front.
A recent arrival of the new 'supermini' category is the Daewoo Matiz which has done well on the sales ladder in Europe prior to its appearance here. Although a product of Daewoo Korea the Matiz was designed and styled by ItalDesign Studios in Italy and displays the Italian influence of modern flair and chic looks.
Renault conceived the concept of Multi Purpose Vehicle way back in 1984 with the Espace, a model which still survives. The Scenic though, being based on the Megane saloon/hatch platform is more compact and is marketed by Renault as a "Multi Activity Car", implying that it can be adapted to a number of configurations and uses.
