The AA Driving School can help you get your restricted motorcycle licence

If you are confident and ready to sit your Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) book it with us. If you need some training to pick up the necessary skills needed to pass, we have several options to suit. Urban training, Highway/rural training or a combination of both followed by the CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment.

PLEASE NOTE: AA MOTORCYCLE TRAINING IS CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE IN SELECTED AREAS OF THE BAY OF PLENTY AND WAIKATO REGIONS. WE PLAN TO ROLL OUT MOTORCYCLE TRAINING AND TESTING NATIONWIDE AT A LATER DATE.

 

If you have your learner licence, there is no minimum time restriction before you can sit your competency-based training and assessment, however you have to wait until you are at least 16.5 years old before you can apply for your restricted licence.

You will be shown safe riding techniques on town and urban roads.

You will be shown safe riding techniques on highway and rural roads

CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment. A detailed assessment of your safe riding skills.

A combination of the Urban and Highway courses followed by the CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment.
