AA Smartfuel

Your personal AA Membership card automatically gives you access to AA Smartfuel, a fuel discounts programme that saves you real $$ on your fuel bill.

AA Smartfuel discounts

Swipe your AA Membership card at participating retailers and earn AA Smartfuel discounts that add up. When you fuel up at participating BP and Caltex service stations, swipe your card again and the pump price you pay is reduced by the accumulated cents per litre savings stored on your card.

AA Directions magazine

We'll post you three complimentary copies each year. Alternatively, you can choose to receive an email version by changing your preferences in MyAA.

The AA Directions magazine website has content from the magazine, plus web-only giveaways and other special features. It is regularly updated between issues with information and giveaways.

Free AA Roadwatch New Zealand highway reports

Use AA Roadwatch to find out what's happening on our major highways. This online report covers the latest incidents or delays.

AA Maps

Use AA Maps to plan your journey, calculate travel distance and time, print turn-by-turn directions, search for Points of Interest (POI) - everything from accomodation, food, and petrol to carparks. Also includes AA Traffic incidents, traffic webcams and motorway flow.

AA Traffic

Quality live traffic information on all main and arterial roads directly to your mobile, or via email, or to your in-car navigation device that uses GeoSmart's mapping. Live updates also available on airport and ferry schedules.

Free motoring technical advice

We'll give you advice on general motoring problems including repairs and technical issues. It's a free service for AA Members. Call 0800 500 333 and select option 2.

Free motoring legal advice

You're entitled to free motoring legal advice. This is available for matters such as traffic offences, accidents or problems when purchasing a vehicle. Call 0800 500 333 and select option 2.

You'll receive an AA Member discount at our AA Auto Service & Repair outlets and AA Licensed Repairers. You'll also receive top quality vehicle servicing, warrant of fitness, and guaranteed repairs.

Pre Purchase Inspections

Receive an AA Member discount on an AA Vehicle Inspection. We'll check for roadworthiness, mechanical faults and signs of a major accident or repair work.

AA Vehicle History Reports

Receive an AA Member discount on an AA Vehicle History Report. Our car history report report tells you who the last owner was, if the vehicle is stolen or if money is owed on it. We'll also give you an idea of value.

Temporary vehicle exportation

AA Members receive an AA Member discount off the cost of a Carnet. A Carnet is a way to temporarily take your private road vehicle overseas without paying duty. Call toll free on 0800 500 333 and select option 2.

Reciprocal services overseas

You're entitled to a range of reciprocal services while travelling overseas. These may include roadside assistance, touring information and advice. Entitlements vary from country to country and in some cases, from club to club.

Camping Card International (CCI)

The CCI is an identity card, which is widely used throughout Europe and Africa at camping and caravanning sites. CCIs in New Zealand are available only to AA Members. They cost $25 and are valid for 12 months from date of issue whilst the applicant remains a current financial AA Member.
