The Camping Card International (CCI) is an identity card, which is widely used throughout Europe at camping and caravanning sites.
The CCI is regarded as a camper's identity document and may be deposited with the campsite manager as an alternative to an official identity document such as your passport. It is accepted at almost all campsites.
The CCI also entitles Members to a discount at many camping sites and covers third-party liability insurance which is valid for accidental damage you may cause whilst abroad whether staying at a campsite, hotel or rented accommodation. Third party insurance cover is only offered to the CCI cardholder, his/her spouse or members of his/her travelling party (up to a maximum of 11 persons) travelling in the same vehicle.
CCIs in New Zealand are available only to AA Members. They cost $25 and are valid for 12 months from date of issue whilst the applicant remains a current financial AA Member.
