Suzuki Kizashi Ltd 2010 review

Purchased used 1 year ago
27 July 2011 | by davidalex

I currently drive a Ltd version of the Kizashi, the one with the extra toys. It's incredible value for money in terms of purchase cost as you get a level of equipment that would likely cost twice the price in an equivalent European car. Looks are strong without being overstated.

It's not the fastest car around but it's handling is superb, acceleration is very linear, brakes are progressive and not bitey. It goes exactly where you want it and how you want it. Very comfortable to drive, long trips are a breeze. Seats are good, and it's easy to adjust driving position to one that suits. Back seat room could be better, boot space is fine for a couple but a family would be hard pressed to fit everything in.

In terms of running costs you need to keep an eye on fuel. While not bad given the size of the engine it claims 7.9l/100km combined but I've tended to get 7.5 on open road, and more like 9.5-10.0 in town. Tyres are expensive on the Ltd edition, prices I've seen range $250-$330 per tyre.

Parking is easy if you have the parking sensors but can be trickier if not as I find I can't sight the bonnet through the windscreen. Side mirrors are huge so picking your distance to the kerb is easy.

Overall unless you're looking for hardcore straight line acceleration or a large family oriented car this has pretty much anything you could want at a price that's remarkably affordable.
