A windscreen chip can often grow into a crack which could affect the structural strength of your windscreen. If the chip is larger than 15mm (the size of a $2 coin) and in the driver's line of vision, it will mean a failed Warrant of Fitness.
Repair your windscreen before it has to be replaced - it will maintain windscreen strength, can be done in about 30 minutes and is a lot quicker and cheaper than replacing the whole windscreen.
We clean the damaged area and fill with resin which is hardened and set using a UV lamp. Once set, we clean the windscreen to ensure its smooth and won't damage your wiper blades.
Windscreen chips and cracks can happen anywhere so AA Auto Glass will come to you and assess the damage on the spot. Availability of the windscreen and auto glass service may be weather dependent. If a windscreen replacement is necessary, we'll organise a time and place that is convenient to you.
