“NZAA” means The New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated which owns and operates this website.
"AATP" means AA Tourism Publishing Limited who transact all bookings made from this website.
“Accommodation supplier” as referred to in these terms and conditions means any motel, hotel, campground or other accommodation type listed on www.aa.co.nz/travel, excluding any baches/holiday houses listed on the Bookabach page. "You" refers to every individual or entity accessing the site for whatever reason.
The site is for your personal use and is not to be used for any commercial purpose.
Most of the information on the accommodation listings is provided by third party suppliers. NZAA and/or AATP have taken reasonable care to check that information is accurate and up-to-date, but do not guarantee that the site, or the server providing it, is free from viruses, errors and faults.
NZAA and AATP accept no responsibility for information supplied by third parties and, in particular, do not guarantee or warrant the accuracy of or the fitness for any particular purpose of, or merchantability of, any third party information, product or service available from, or referred to, on this site. NZAA and AATP will not be liable for any damages or loss caused by the use of any information on this site.
NZAA has the right to change any information on this site at any time and without notice. If you use the site after NZAA has changed the terms you will be bound by the new terms.
You will pay any charges listed on the site for bookings made through the site. Charges will be payable immediately by charge to your credit card. Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) are accepted - we reserve the right not to accept a particular credit card provider at our discretion.
When completing the online booking form you must be of legal age to do so and become legally bound to honour payment and other obligations.
You are also responsible for keeping other members of your party informed of the booking details. The booking is confirmed when an on-screen confirmation and an email booking confirmation have been sent to you (whether or not you receive it). If the booking is not confirmed, it means that the transaction has not been successfully completed.
The confirmation clearly states the rooms and occupancy covered in the payment. You will be liable for additional charges incurred during your stay, which are payable directly to the accommodation supplier. You must check the room description at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that the booking will be suitable for your needs. Accommodation suppliers have different child policies and it is your responsibility to check restrictions, such as the child age range, and book appropriately.
Member and AA Smartfuel discounts
AA Members will receive a 5% dollar discount off the full rate of properties which feature the 5% AA Member discount device, plus an AA Smartfuel 10 cents per litre discount on properties which feature the AA Smartfuel device, provided a valid AA Membership number is entered at the time of booking. The minimum spend to receive these discounts is NZ$50.00.
AA Smartfuel users (who are not AA Members) will receive an AA Smartfuel 10 cents per litre saving on properties which feature the AA Smartfuel device, provided a valid AA Smartfuel number is entered at the time of booking. The minimum spend to receive this AA Smartfuel discount is NZ$50.00.
Bookings made with any AA Smartfuel property will receive the CPL discount offer based on the date the booking was made, not the date of check-in. The CPL discount will be loaded onto your AA Smartfuel card one day ahead of the check-in date. AA Smartfuel properties are indentified by an AA Smartfuel logo on their listing on aa.co.nz/travel/accommodation/accommodation-for-members.
If the AA Membership or AA Smartfuel number is not entered at time of booking (Step 2 of the booking process), the fuel discount and/or AA Member 5% discount will not be awarded retrospectively.
You agree to the Cancellation Policy as outlined by the accommodation provider. An administration charge of $25 applies to all cancellations.
Room availability ("inventory") is set by the accommodation supplier. NZAA and AATP do not oversell that inventory, and NZAA or AATP will not accept any liability for unavailability of rooms caused by the accommodation supplier over-selling rooms.
The accommodation supplier holds the right to cancel the confirmed & paid booking. In the event of an accommodation supplier cancelling the booking a full refund will be processed back to the credit card of the customer.
