Sail the Kohu Ra Tuarua between historic Rawene & picturesque Kohukohu. 15min crossing. 7.30am-8pm daily. Travel from Rawene across the scenic Hokianga Harbour to Kohukohu and onto Kaitaia, Ahipara, Ninety Mile Beach and Cape Reinga. Departure times: 7.30am, 8.15am, 8.45am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm. Travel from Kohukohu to Rawene, the beaches of Opononi, Omapere and the giant Kauri of the Waipoua Forest. Departure times: 7.45am, 8.30am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm Kohu Ra Tuarua accommodated 24 vehicles and their passengers. *Note*: At peak times the ferry may change to "shuttle" mode, at which times the above time table may be suspended and sailings will be more frequent. Tickets are purchased onboard the ferry.
