AA Driven NZ Car of the Year 2018 Winners

Congratulations to all of this year's AA Driven NZ Car of the Year winners. The models below provide consumers with a starting point for vehicle selection within their individual buying category.

We're pleased to announce this year's AA Driven New Zealand Car of the Year is the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class took out the title of AA Driven New Zealand Car of the Year due to its built in Artificial Intelligence technology and unparalleled driving experience.

There is “Hey Mercedes” with virtual genie action that responds to voice commands for tasks such as altering the air-conditioning temperature, changing radio stations or navigating a new route. Plus the new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz user experience) that has the ability to learn your lifestyle.

Chief Judge and Driven’s Editor at Large Liz Dobson said the decision to award the Mercedes-Benz A-Class the title was an easy task in the end.

“This is the complete package; a great looking hatchback with not class leading, but class breaking technology plus must-have standard safety features. This hatchback is truly ‘A Class’ ahead of the rest – it has a price tag, sci-fi technology and a fuel-efficient engine that will impress,” Liz said.

All  winners from this year's awards provide Kiwis with a sample of vehicles that act as a great starting point for selection within individual buying categories (Best in Class) or based upon safety (Safest Car).
