Does AA offer a service to install tether bolts or anchors in cars for child carseats?
If not, why not? I would trust AA above anyone else to do it.
Also, what older cars are likely to have ISOFIX anchors installed. I need to buy a new second hand car to put my new carseat in. Apparently I would have to have my petrol tank dropped out to get achors installed in my little 14 year old car.

Most general garages (including the approved AA repair network) can, and do, fit child seat tether anchor points.

Obviously checking the underside of the car is critical to stop a drill entering fuel lines/tanks or wiring by mistake (hence the reason to drop the fuel tank on your current vehicle I suspect).

Most of the older European cars will have ISOFIX anchors fitted but it always pays to ask and check for yourself on any used car you may be looking at.

The mainstream Japanese brands could be a mixed bag, with many of the used imports having different spec levels than the same model sold new in NZ.
