Hi there, I need some advice based on the information I have.
I have a Ford Escape 2001 that has done 255000 kms, and I want to trade it for a smaller car such as a Toyota Corolla 1989 that has done 211000 kms. Would this be a good trade or am I being stupid? Both cars are really well maintained and everything goes right for both.

We recommend buying the safest car your budget allows and so would not see going from 2001 to 1989 vehicle year a good vehicle to trade into.
