First time poster so apologies if this isn't the right place to ask.

I've recently purchased a used car from a fairly large used car franchise. It's a 2007 Mazda Verisa with about 31,000km on the odometer, NZ new Japan import.

It's my first time purchasing a used vehicle so I may have made a few gaffes. I haven't found any issues with the car but I'm a bit concerned that I didn't get a pre-purchase mechanical check done.

What are my options now that I've purchased the vehicle? Would be good to know about any issues that might crop up in the future.

Cheers for any advice

Hi there,
It's not too late, you can still get an inspection carried out. It's just you may no longer be able to negotiate purchase price but it will give you an idea of condition or items requiring attention soon. If anything major is found, you should have the opportunity to address them with the seller as you can have some legislation cover behind you (CGA). Call 0800 500 333 option 1 for AA inspections or visit : https://www.aa.co.nz/cars/buying-a-car/car-buying-guide/pre-purchase-vehicle-inspections

Sweet as, that makes sense re. the CGA. I'll get a check organized.
