Hi there, I am looking to purchase one of either 2010 Toyota Rav4 or 2010 Honda CR-V ZX (both Japan imports).
What are the things I need to consider making a choice among the two? I am concerned about the car safety and the transmission type. Are there better alternatives/competitors to these two?

We've not really heard many negatives from both models in this year period. Because they are imports, there is generally very little specs or detailed information available for them. I recommend having the vehicle inspected before purchase, and getting a good service after purchase to make sure all is good from here on in.
