Hi there,
I am trying to buy a Honda Odyssey and when I asked for the Japanese auction sheet they sent me a screenshot just saying that the condition is 4 with two pictures of car body with marking such as A1 and A 2. The said there are different auction systems. Are they correct?
Do all the Japanese cars come with auction sheets, I mean the one written in Japanese?
Thanks

Hi there,
Generally the importer of the vehicle may receive an auction sheet or condition report by the company in Japan who is selling the vehicle and it is in Japanese. Here is a link to how to decipher the sheets: https://www.jdmauctionwatch.com/auction-sheets/

Thanks Cade,
When I asked for the auction sheet from the dealer( like the sheets in the link attached in your message) they said they don't have this type sheet (in their listing it says Japanese auction grade 4) and only they have is a webpage saying the condition is 4 with carbody drawing with A1 A2 markings on it. Do you think that they are genuine?
Thanks for your time. Much appreciated

Hi there,
This sounds like something found on Japanese car selling sites, it may be that not all cars go through an auction process and so just have a condition report. A1 and A2 mean light scratching on the body.

Thanks for that Cade
