I just sold my vehicle with a new WOF issued 6wks after previous VTNZ WOF issued. New owner complaining of handbrake, steering, shock absorbers and springs problem. They are also stating overheating and excessive oil consumption both of which were not evident at time of sale 1-week ago. The vehicle was driven approximately 420km to my knowledge by the buyers friend who inspected the vehicle before the sale and delivered to the buyer. What are my obligations if any to these issues? Thanks Mike

Hi there,
If the vehicle sale was private, the CGA doesn't apply and it is largely buyer beware. There could be some redress if they felt you made false or misleading statements which persuaded then into buying the vehicle.
