Just needed to advise on inconsistency on CIN which I noticed after buying my vehicle.

I bought 2000 Mitsubishi Pajero LONG EXCEED on 10 July 2021. CIN from the dealer had stated this vehicle was not imported as damaged however, it's changed to imported as damaged when I ran CIN on carjam (which comes from LINZ) after its registration.
When checked with the dealer he told me it was not imported as damaged but has been undersealed underneath.
Can anyone please advise how to deal with the issue i.e. confirming if the vehicle was imported as damaged? if so what actions I can take? or if CIN on carjam is wrong?

Hi there,
Could you please call us on 0800 500 333 option 2 and we will see what information we can see on your vehicle registration. It may not have been flagged upon NZ Border check as damaged, but might have required specialist repair certification and repairs as noted by compliance. This is two different parts of the import process and may change if the need to state if the vehicle was a damaged import or not.
