I am considering purchasing the car below.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/3262644507

I have read in the previous blogs that some of the Lafesta models have had a bad history of CVT transmission faults and the cost of repair.

Would the same issue apply to this model?

Some feedback on this vehicle would be much appreciated.

My other option is a Mazda Premacy or a Toyota Wish.

Thanks and Regards

Hi there,
All these vehicles are used imports from Japan and are generally reliable when compared to a European manufactured vehicle. However as they are now 10 years old, it would be best to have any vehicle you are looking at checked out in order to make sure that the one you get is in good condition. It's pretty difficult to say how reliable a 10 year old used import vehicle would be as there is no way to tell how and when it was serviced or how it was looked after.
