Just bought a used Mazda premacy and did my own checks and everything seemed fine. Got the dealer to change transmission oil and install new engine mount as these were the only major items I found (there were a couple of minor things). After a few weeks of ownership items have come up, such as the passenger side power windows stopped working and discovering the wiper blades coming apart (not sure how it passed WOF on wiper blades) and some other minor stuff that I missed when buying it. The dealer is fixing the windows under the 6 month warranty and I haven't mentioned the other items to them yet but these items coming up not long after buying the car have made us nervous about its overall condition when we very happy with it before.

The dealer is MTA assured and the garage they use is an AA Auto centre.

Simple question from this with probably an obvious answer if we want peace of mind; is it worth getting an AA inspection report done post purchase and if anything major comes up, go back to the dealer under the warranty?

If you are starting to have concerns it may pay to get a professional inspection done, At the least to get a general overview of the car and any potential issues that may arise. At least that way all the issues can be presented to the dealer together if there are any further problems. With issues car issues its always better to take them to the dealer sooner rather than latter.
