Hi there.
I’ve been experiencing troubles with a car I recently purchased (Hyundai Grandeur 2001.) At first I noticed that when I would press the window washer fluid button only a small amount of fluid would come out, and now there’s none coming out at all. Whenever I push the button there is a noise so I think the pump is still working. What could be the reason for it not working and does it generally cost much to get this fixed with parts and labour included and what would I be looking at spending?

My other problem I’ve been having is when I’ve had the indicator on to go left, when I’m making the turn the blinker light turns on and works normally but when I start to turn on a corner depending on how far I turn the wheel the blinker light doesn’t flash anymore and makes a quite fast ticking noise, the blinker goes back on again if I push the indicator up a little bit more. What could be the cause of this and would it cause me to fail a wof?

Hi there,
It can be quite common that your washer bottle has become clogged as the water turns a bit like glue if left sitting for a long time and this is stopping the flow to the pump. or the washer jets themselves have become blocked with car polish. Either option is easy to check and simple to clean, you could do it yourself. usually when an indicator blinks fast it means one of the bulbs is not working somewhere on the car. It sounds like the switch is playing up if the stalk movement can affect the lamp operation. An auto electrician may be able to repair the switch or it may need replacement. It would be hard to determine cost until a diagnosis is carried out by a workshop or auto electrician.
