Dear advisor,
I have drained off new engine oil from my car, as it is the wrong grade (I was told it’s 10W 30. It was serviced by the used car dealer before I bought it from him). I’m thinking of using it in my other car that uses this grade of oil. Is it a risk to do so, since I cannot confirm that it is indeed 10W 30? The Caltex oil change sticker does not state the type of oil.
Thanks 

Hi there,
It would depend on the vehicle type and the oil you wish to use. An older car with high km's may not matter if the oil used is 10w30 or 15w40 but in a more modern engine that specifies a better grade may not be a good idea.
