Hi. I’ve just bought a 2006 Subaru Legacy with only 65,000ks on the clock from a dealership. I’ve had it a week. I was driving around for a while in “eco” mode and noticed that the check engine lamp was on. I switched off eco mode and the warning light switched off as well, and since hasn’t come back on. My question is, would driving around in eco mode too long cause the warning light to come on ? And should I get the engine checked anyway?
I’ve emIled this issue to the dealer because I’ve only had the car a week. Still waiting to hear back.
Thanks
Matt.

Hi Matt,
The check engine light should not come on when the vehicle is in ECO mode as the car is designed for this.
You need to keep in contact with the dealer and follow their instruction otherwise it can cost you and might be hard to recover it.
