Hi can you you please tell me if the recommended oil to use on a mazda atenza 2005 is 5w30 mineral oil and the garage has been putting 10w40sncf instead can this damage the motor. Thanks

There are no oil specs for imports but for NZ new Mazda 3, Castrol recommend 5w30 or 10w30. Thicker oil would not generally be recommended in a newer engine if not designed for it, but may not necessarily cause any issue as a vehicle gets older.
