We have a 2006 just imported Nissan Serena. A warning light on dash comes on sporadically and when it does, the gear shift is very stiff to move. It's been back to the dealer a few times but their mechanic says just a historical computer fault and nothing wrong. Clearly there is! It looks like a red cog with an exclamation mark inside. Not noticed a pattern to when it does or doesn't come on yet. Looking for advice of what it might be so we can pressure dealer to take responsibility for fixing it... thanks!

You may need to film it or be able to demonstrate it to the dealer. or you may need a second opinion form a workshop which you can then take to the dealer if they are not willing to look at the issue (as you have already given them first right- and they are not really fixing the issue).
