I recently bought a low mileage Japanese import car from a used car dealer.
It had an AA appraised certificate, also a car dealer warranty for 3 month Since then my mechanic son has discovered that the front shock absorbers need replacing. It is still within the warranty period so is the car dealer responsible for the cost of replacing the shock absorbers

Hi there,
You will need to go back to the dealer and give them first right of remedy. They might end up paying your mechanic to replace the shocks or they might want to do it themselves. Whatever you do don't hand them a bill and expect them to pay- as they must have first opportunity.
