Hi. I have inspected a car that I am interested to buy but noticed water dripping along the AC pipe. I am unsure if this is normal as a result of condensation or is a sign of issue. Could you please let me know what it could be?

Hi Sophie,
Water dripping on the ground under the car from the A/C drain hose in perfectly normal and means the system is doing its job. Just make sure that the hose doesn't come off and leak water into the car as this can happen sometimes if you ever notice the passenger carpet a bit damp. Also the pipes themselves can attract moisture, as part of the system operation the gas turns to liquid and back again and this causes heat and extreme cold in some pipes and hoses.
