Dear advisor,
My 2007 Suzuki SX4 1500 cc has a mileage of only about 45,000 km. When I start it cold in my garage, its fumes smell quite strong. In contrast, the fumes from cold starting my other car, a 2013 Mazda Verisa, also 1500 cc, are much less noticeable. In your view, is this difference due to the Suzuki's greater age? Or what fault(s) could there be? Or is it still normal?
Thanks for your valuable advice :)

Most vehicles on start up develop odours this can be from fuel vapours on start up leaching from the air intake especially when the cold start system / Automatic choke is active. Your older Suzuki may not be as efficient in terms of its cold start system and may explain the difference. it all sounds normal to our technical team.
