Hi I just failed my WoF due to an issue with the left front steering rack end. Is this going to be an expensive job? The mechanic I spoke to had no idea how much this would cost.
Hi, typically steering play develops when a rack end has failed, either an inner or outer joint these are usually not too expensive to replace depending on the price and availability of parts. You may also want to consider a wheel alignment too once this is done.
