I bought a car few weeks ago and istop starts flashing 3 days ago. I checked, it costs $400 plus to replace the battery. Should the dealer pay? Thank you.

Hi there,
The first stop you would take is to give the dealer the first opportunity to address the issue. Under the CGA, the vehicle needs to be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose as one would reasonably expect for this vehicle, taking into account the age, condition, and price paid.

Thank you for prompt reply. I told him the problem yesterday but has gone silence since I have him the estimate by Mazda. What should I do if he refused to fix it? Thank you.

Hi there,
If the dealer won't respond, then you will have to buy the battery and then seek reimbursement, and maybe make a claim in a dispute tribunal if you see fit.
