Hi, Just failed WOF on mismatched Tyres. Purchased car via a trader using a U-Sell yard 11/2020 same year car imported. It had an AA Vehicle compliance certificate that says Tyres checked? Assuming I'm going to get no joy from dealer, would you have any record of this check? Can't imagine swapping out the tyres would really be worth it but I'll have to pay to change to get WOF, consumer protection will take longer than 28 days. Any help Appreciated.

Hello Lisa,
Unfortunately the swapping of tyres does happen for a number of reasons, this could perhaps be the actions of and unscrupulous dealer, unfortunately as we only check the vehicle at the time of compliance what happens to it after that we have no control over.

I would go back to the dealer as they must supply you with a vehicle that is of acceptable quality and that is both durable and safe under the CGA. Additionally we are not aware of a specific 28 day time frame for CGA coverage.
