I am having some electrical issues and also have had to jump start my car several times over the last 2 months.

Firstly how old is my battery and would that indicate it need st be replaced.
It is AA battery. Has white sticker with code B 16 (2016?)
Battery is 2544 Calcium Battery.

Electrical issues I have are they related to the battery (some/all)
Clock resets to 1:00,Stero not going, internal light not going, Aircon has to be turned on again each start up.
thanks

Hi there,
A Battery with code 'B' is February, and '6' is 2016.
If your battery is not holding charge then all the various functions and memories would e lost and have to be reset when the power is restored. The interior light and radio not working could be a an indication a fuse for the convenience functions has blown- 12v cigarette lighter socket is a common source of a blown fuse.

Hi
So would you expect battery to need replacing if it was a 2016 battery?

Re fuse I checked fuses and they looked OK. The 12v cigarette lighter socket is working. So do you have any other suggestions.
Thanks

Hi there,
The battery would need testing, but 5 years is a likely expected life for modern batteries.
Your radio might need coding after the battery went flat before it will turn back on and the light could just be a bulb.
