I drove my 2008 RAV4 home from town a few days ago, all fine, no problems. All doors left shut, no lights left on. Went to use it this morning, absolutely dead. Key remote won't work, security light no longer flashing, when I connected my jumpstart it didn't even register a connection so couldn't be used. I've had some sudden flat batteries in my 60 years of driving, but nothing like this! Does it sound like battery trouble or something else? Also, whatever this problem is, am I likely to have car computer problems that need attending to as a result? Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,
When a new/charged battery is fitted, the idle and engine management should automatically re-learn.
The alternator may need checking to see if it is charging, and maybe current draw on the battery to make sure the problem won't happen again.
However it could just be a dead battery, and you were lucky to get home.
You may need to call our battery callout guys to check/ replace your battery.

Thanks very much, Cade. Will do what you suggest.
