We have a 12 mth old Suzuki S Cross AWD that has just cut out a back left tyre after 20,000 kms.The other 3 tyres are ok. Although it has a fixed beam axle, the car sales yard has sent us for a wheel alignment. This shows it is well out of the recommended specification. What is recommended to fix this issue?

Hi there,
I imagine it should be up to the dealer to remedy the situation under warranty, fixed beam setups should still have some adjustment to correct alignment. Otherwise they might be looking for possible damage/ bent components causing it to be out. A wheel alignment specialist should be able to recommend what movements will be required to correct the alignment and get it back to spec.

Thank you for your reply.
Our understanding from the wheel alignment specialist is, it is beyond the boundaries of adjustment and sometimes they come from the factory like this. (?)
It has never been in an accident or had damage of any other kind since we bought it new.

Hi there,
In that case, I would refer back to the dealer to clarify to you if the tyre wear and wheel alignment specs are acceptable for a new car, and if they are going to offer a remedy.

We are waiting for the dealer to get back to us, but were just looking for advise on what to expect and what might be acceptable. We are also wondering if there are any other Suzuki S Cross 2015 owners out there who may have similar problems, as we got the impression there are.
