Forum Fuel and economy What fuel should be used for 1981 Classic Mini? Do i need to add Classic Fuel Additives?

I have a 1981 980 cc Leyland Mini and have been using 95 Petrol with ValveMaster additives every time.
Someone told me there is no need to add the ValveMaster additives at all? Is this correct? What should be used please?

Hello I have spoken with Lee at www.minibitz.co.nz and hardened valve seats only came in around 1983 onwards so we recommend continuing to use valve master.
