Hi yes I am an accountant - was a Chartered Accountant. I own a Toyota RAV4 2.5 litre 2016 model and my understanding for many years was we could use an approved market mileage rate which may differ from IRD rates-default rates. I have been using $1 per km as I found this was the rate from an AA website. Am I correct? If not what per km can I use. Thanks

Hi there,
Our running cost report is a purchasable product and is placed in vehicle class categories and not vehicle specific. You will find that a 2.5ltr engine vehicle would have a running cost very close to the IRD rates.
