I had the timing belt fixed in 2016 but the timing belt warning light has come on again in 2017. Is this unusual?

Hi there,
These vehicles have the warning light on a timer in the dash cluster and not actually linked to the cambelt replacement. It sounds like this wasn't reset when the belt was replaced.
I recommend taking it back to the workshop to have it set, it's a fairly straight forward process.
