My daughter was reversing out of a car park at her work. She checked that there were no other vehicles around. Once she established there were no other vehicles she proceeded to reverse out. Another vehicle then appeared at speed and subsequently my daughter hit it. Is she liable?

I'm sorry to hear about the incident,
Unfortunately in many cases it will be your daughters fault. It is always the reversing cars responsibility to do so with care for their surroundings. When reversing out of a car park, you are usually entering a path where a car may be traveling extra care is needed.

Other factors to consider is whether both vehicles were in motion or if either vehicle was stationary at the time of impact.

Your insurance company will make the decision based on all the information provided so its important to provide all the information you can for them to assess.
