Good day,
I have a 1971 Mini mk3 from South Africa that I would like to ship to New Zealand in a container with my household goods. The original plan was to have the vehicle fully restored is South Africa, however the process is taking longer than expected. Is it possible to ship the Mini over partly restored and finish the restoration in New Zealand? If so what are the implications?
Thank you for your advice.
Kind Regards,

Having it partly restored shouldn't be an issue however the vehicle must receive a full boarder inspection when the vehicle arrives in New Zealand this is very important so the chassis number is entered on the NZTA database , the vehicle can then be completed and taken for compliance remember you will need your original green South African registration document as proof ownership, prior registration and the age of the vehicle.
