Hi,

i checked the warranty of Mitsubishi Australia for Outlander PHEV they have 10 year warranty, 10 year/200,000 km* New Car Warranty
5 year Perforation Corrosion Warranty and Transferrable to next buyer.
see https://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/owners/diamond-advantage/warranty.html

But here in NZ the new 2021 outlander PHEV is only 5 years/100,000kms
AA please ask Mitsubishi why?
Besides Australia has more harsh conditions compared to NZ.

Also note that NZ 2021 Eclipse Cross has 10 years warranty, it has exact same technical specs with outlander phev except the looks.

AA please clarify this with Mitsubishi NZ , please…
as its unfair for 2021 outlander phev owners

Cheerio..

Hi there,
The word from MMNZ is that as the Eclipse Cross PHEV is a new product, they are able to introduce the new 10 year warranty- because it hasn't been sold here in a different way.
As the Outlander PHEV has been around for many years they’re not able to introduce the 10 year warranty as when these vehicles were sold it wasn’t an option and they want to carry out the same warranty as what the product was introduced with.
They don’t follow Mitsubishi Australia in regard to their servicing or warranties. and are completely separate to them so whatever they’re doing has nothing to do with MMNZ.

The new 2023 Outlander PHEV is a totally new car - based on Nissan Rogue, are they prepared to use the new 10 year warranty for that?
