Petrol and diesel prices as at end December

Petrol prices remained stable in the lead up to the busy Christmas and New Year travel period, after initially rising three cents per litre in early December before reversing a week later.

Fuel prices were stable during March, moving just once during the month. This is the first time in two years diesel prices have fallen under one dollar a litre, while petrol prices are 19 cents a litre lower than the same time last year.
