Petrol and diesel prices as at 26 November 2020

There have been several price movements during November, with petrol initially rising 3 cents per litre (cpl) on 13 November, before petrol dropped 6cpl a week later, but diesel only down 1cpl. Then in late November, all fuel prices rose 5cpl on the back of an increase in global commodity prices, with oil climbing to the highest level since March. As ever though, not all service stations will have reflected these changes. Overall, the ‘national price’ is only a few cents higher than as at the end of October – and as with most of the year since March, the price of 91 octane has hovered around $2/litre thanks to largely stable commodity prices which have been constrained by the global pandemic, whilst diesel prices have been the lowest they’ve been in 3 years.
