AA Auto Centre Prize Draw

Full terms and conditions

1. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as amended or modified from time to time.
2. The promotion is being run by The New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated (the “Promoter”, “us”, “our”, “we”).
3. The promotion starts at 12:00am 21 August 2023 NZST and ends 12:00am 30 September 2023 NZDT(“Promotional Period”).

Eligibility

4. Entry is only open to AA Auto Centre customers over the age of 16 years. District Councillors, directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. For this purpose, NZAA includes The New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated, any division, subsidiary, third party under applicable contract, or joint venture companies.
5. Eligibility is limited to entrants who have completed the online entry form and had their Tax Invoice number validated by AA Auto Centre.

Entry requirements

6. To submit an entry, eligible entrants must complete and submit the online entry form within the Promotional Period to be in to win a Road Trip package or book a Service at an AA Auto Centre to be into win either a Prezzy card, AA Smartfuel discount, or EVENT Cinemas family pass.
7. To enter the promotion to win the Road Trip Package, you:
1. must complete all fields on the online entry form
2. must click on submit entry in order to receive entry confirmation.
8. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries are not permitted.
9. Entries that are incomplete, incorrect or illegible will be deemed invalid.
10. The promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

The Prize

11. The promoter is offering:
1. 3 chances to win a Road Trip package, consisting of AA Smartfuel discount, equating to 2x fuel top up (up to 50 litres), $1,200 Prezzy card to be used for accommodation and travel-related expenses, or however the winner sees fit, and a Bronze Service™ voucher,
2. 100 chances to win a $100 Prezzy cards,
3. 50 chances to win a $1 per litre off Smartfuel discount (up to 50 litres), and
4. 50 chances to win an EVENT Cinemas family pass.
12. Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be redeemed for cash and is neither transferable nor exchangeable, except at the promoter’s sole discretion.
13. By accepting the prize, you agree to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing activities relating to the prize including but not limited to being interviewed or photographed. We reserve the right to use your comments, image and name for advertising and publicity purposes in any media, including but not limited to national newspapers, magazines, radio, television and the World Wide Web, in perpetuity without compensation.
14. The winner agrees to hold the promoter, its directors, officers, employees and assignees harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the use of their prize. The winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by the use or redemption of their prize.
15. The promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

Prize fulfilment

16. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The winner will be contacted by email and given instructions on how they will receive their prize and the contact details should they wish to change their mail address details.
18. The prize will be sent by the Promoter within 30 calendar days from the date of contact with the Prize winner.

AA Smartfuel Terms and Conditions

24. The Smartfuel discount will be loaded to the winner’s AA Smartfuel account.
25. The discount can be redeemed once in a single fill, up to 50 litres. Redeeming a discount uses all discounts accumulated at that time.
26. If the winner is not an AA Smartfuel customer, they have to pick up a card at an AA Auto Centre free of charge and register the card online. The discount will then be loaded to this card.
27. Discount cannot be applied in conjunction with fuel cards or discounts vouchers.
28. Discount must be redeemed by the end of the month following the month if they awarded. For example, if the discount is loaded in October, the discount must be redeemed by 30 November.
29. Discount cannot be redeemed at unmanned self-service sites.

 Prezzy Card Terms and Conditions

32.  Prezzy cards is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
33. The Prezzy card cannot be used in manual card imprinters or ATMs, or for taxis, automated fuel dispensers, gambling activities, or in  any situation where a merchant requires identity verification against the Prezzy card details. The Prezzy card is also not able to be used in any situation where a merchant may require direct debits, recurring payments, or payment instalment on the Prezzy card.

EVENT Cinemas Terms and Conditions

35. The Family Pass includes two adult tickets and two child or senior tickets to any standard session with standard seating at EVENT Cinemas, Embassy Theatre, and Rialto Cinemas (Newmarket and Dunedin).
36. Voucher is valid until August 2024. After this, the barcode becomes void and cannot be used.
37. Voucher is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
38. Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
39. Voucher is not valid for Gold Class, Boutique Cinemas, Day Bed seating, Embassy Theatre Platinum seating, film festivals, alternative content, special events and experiences.
40. Surcharges apply for upgrade to 3D, VMAX, IMAX, and Premium seating options.

Privacy

41. By entering this promotion you agree that we may use the personal information we collect from you:
1. To conduct this promotion, including determining and notifying the winners and disclosing that information to the prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities; and
2. For future marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy
3. The terms on which other parties involved collect, hold and disclose your personal information are set out in their privacy policies; Ubiquity Privacy Policy.
42. We reserve the right, at any time, and in our sole discretion to
1. request entrants to provide proof of identity and/or proof of valid entry
2. disqualify any entrant who we have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct or any conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
43. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
44. Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by us. We will not be held liable for any entries not received for any reason during the promotion period.
45. We are not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way after it leaves our possession.
46. We are not responsible for any variation in the value of a prize.
47. If we are unable to provide a winner with a prize (or part of a prize), we will supply an alternative prize (or that part of the prize) of greater or equal monetary value and/or specification.
48. If for any reason, we are not able to conduct the promotion as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, any technical difficulties or any other causes beyond our control, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, we reserve the right in our sole discretion to take any action that may be available.
49. To the extent permitted by law the Promoter:
1. excludes all warranties in relation to the quality, suitability or merchantability of a prize;
2. limits its liability, and that of its employees or agents, for breach of any rights a consumer may have to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again;
3. will not be liable for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion including the supply of goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s), and where applicable to any persons accompanying the prize winner(s).
4. accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize.
