The Gisborne Railbike Adventure

The Gisborne Railbike Adventure is a unique cycling trip that takes you on a journey along 90km of railway track between Gisborne and Wairoa.  

Tandem bikes allow you to pedal side by side while you soak up the stunning coastal and forest views, passing through tunnels and along one of the most scenic stretches of railway in the country. 

E-bikes are also available to make things a little easier (the trail requires moderate fitness) but no balancing or steering is required. 

Bring a picnic lunch, take your time and make a day of it – the Gisborne Railbike Adventure is a must-do experience for outdoor enthusiasts in Tairāwhiti Gisborne.
