Sculptureum

Sculptureum is located just outside Matakana town centre, an hour's drive north of Auckland City.

Galleries: Recommended viewing time: 30-45 minutes

Each of the indoor art galleries follows a different theme, from glass to figurative, recycled materials, animals and modern abstract works, with the final room of The Sculptureum Experience housing a grand, glass chandelier by famous American artist Dale Chihuly.

Gardens: Recommended viewing time: 60-90 minutes

There are three sculpture gardens extending over 1.5km of flat paths bursting with sculptures, prehistoric rocks, live animals and reflective quotes all surrounded by colourful plantings that change with the seasons.

I would LOVE to see that Chandelier by Dale Chihuly. Im a big fan of his work and saw an exhibition of his in ChCh years ago. Thrilling to say the least

I studied art and a little of Dale Chihully's work which I saw in Chch at an art Gallery years ago, Id love to see a chandelair made by him, I can only imagine how fabulous it would be
