Wingspan National Bird of Prey Centre

Wingspan National Bird of Prey Centre was established in Rotorua in 2002.

The centre’s core mission is the conservation of the threatened New Zealand falcon.

Wingspan supports wild populations by releasing captive-bred falcons and rehabilitating injured wild birds.

Visit Wingspan National Bird of Prey Centre to see birds of prey up close during interactive flying displays, hosted by the country’s leading experts. The displays showcase the spectacular flying skills of these amazing birds and are a unique educational experience.

Although the new Wingspan site in Rotorua remains under development, you can still visit by appointment.
