WE HAVE LARGE OUTDOOR SEATING AREAS TO ENJOY VIEWS OF MT COOK/TASMAN, A BBQ, YOUR BOOK, OUR FANTASTIC SUNSETS AND A NICE GLASS OF WINE! Lake Matheson Motel has 21 modern studio and 2 bedroom units available. While we are proudly named after beautiful Lake Matheson, we are not situated at the Lake - we are instead very much a town-located motel! We are Qualmark Rated 4 Stars providing a good mix of comfort, cleanliness and West Coast hospitality! With Mt Cook or mountain views from most rooms, we are ideally located only 400 metres from the Fox Glacier township; and a 4km drive from both Lake Matheson and the Glacier. We offer limited free WIFI, Portable BBQ, Guest Laundry, Continental Breakfasts, King-size beds and spa bath units are also available. All units have large undercover carparks directly outside to keep you dry during those notorious west coast storms. We offer simple, modern accommodation getting all the basics right - good beds, televisions and showers, quality linen, friendly staff, clean rooms, well-maintained inside and out.
