Glacier View Motel is 2.5km north of the town centre of Franz Josef and offers guests a quiet, relaxing location with spectacular views of the mountains. We pride ourselves in helping making your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible while enjoying all the wonderful scenery and activities that Franz Josef has to offer.
We can assist with your bookings for the many attractions around the area so you do not have to worry about anything but deciding what you want to do. From glacier guided hikes, helicopter flights, lake tours, quad biking and horse trekking, you will be kept entertained for days! After all that activity, relax in the famous Glacier Hot Pools to soak all your worries away then come back to us to have that well deserved drink while watching the sun go down.
All units are smokefree and the guest laundry is available 24 hours. The units are all ground level with undercover parking and are serviced daily for your comfort. An easy day's drive from Christchurch, or Queenstown make Glacier View Motel your place to stay while exploring Franz Josef and the surrounding rainforest treasures.
