We also have many bush walks suitable for the whole family or the serious tramper and discover our Glow-worm caves that never cease to impress all ages. The National Kiwi Centre is great for the whole family where you can even feed giant Eels, or take a scenic flight over Hokitika and down over the Glaciers, beautiful no matter what time of year!You can try your hand at gold panning like they did back in the gold rush days or wander along the beautiful beach. You never know what you might find up on the shore, maybe your own piece of Hokitika Jade. Hokitika township is filled with great shops so you can take a memory of Hokitika away with you. Stunning gold jewellery, numerous Jade outlets, a glass studio, possum products or one of the other wonderful retail outlets that we have here.There are a wide variety of restaurants and cafes so whether it is a light meal, a coffee or a delicious evening dinner, there is somewhere for all budgets and tastes. Before dinner, on a clear night, you will have an amazing photo opportunity on our beach with stunning sunsets giving you a sight that you will never forget.
