Guaranteed viewing of North Island Brown Kiwi in their nocturnal house. Often you can see our kiwi birds up close and watch them foraging for worms and bugs. Come and find New Zealand's living dinosaur, the tuatara. Discover West Coast creatures like whitebait at various stages of their life cycle, native and tropical fish, freshwater crayfish, frogs, turtles, axolotls and others. Participate in our giant eel feeding at 10am, 12pm, and 3pm. Our giant eels are over 100 years old. An activity suitable for all ages and weather conditions. Open 7 days from 9am to 5pm during the summer, winter (May to September) hours are 9:30 to 4:30. Last admission is half an hour before closing..
